Function

3. Mangiferin, being able to traverse the blood–brain barrier as demonstrated.

4. Mangiferin was found to significantly reduce plasma total cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL-C associated with a concomitant increase in HDL-C levels and a decrease in atherogenic indices.

5.It has been suggested that mangiferin reduces blood glucose levels by inhibiting the glucose absorption from the intestine.
